How many times? MEA drops South Park meme to counter POK 'falsehoods'
The MEA Fact Check used a viral South Park meme to reject what it called repeated misinformation about Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, reiterating that both Union Territories, including areas under Pakistan's control, are an integral part of India.

Sharing an image carrying the caption, "How many times do I have to explain this to you?", the MEA Fact Check posted on Instagram: "On repeated falsehoods being spread about the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, @meaindia be like..."
The post went on to reaffirm that "the entire Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, including the areas currently under Pakistan's illegal and forcible occupation, are integral and inalienable parts of India."
It also described the ongoing electoral process in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) as a "cosmetic electoral exercise", alleging that it was an attempt by Pakistan to "camouflage its illegal occupation and hide its grave human rights violations in the region."
Referring to the ongoing unrest in POK, the MEA said the protests were the result of "Islamabad's decades-long systemic economic exploitation, denial of fundamental rights, and administrative oppression."
The MEA Fact Check also posted the same message on X while responding to a social media post claiming Jammu and Kashmir remained disputed territory under UN resolutions and defending Pakistan's electoral process in the region. Rejecting those claims, the MEA reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, including the areas under Pakistan's "illegal and forcible occupation", are an inseparable part of India.
