Exclusive: Latha Rajinikanth launches Makkal Medai as citizen-led social initiative

Latha Rajinikanth has launched Makkal Medai, a citizen-driven platform aimed at fostering grassroots leadership and community welfare across Tamil Nadu. Describing it as a forum for creating “changemakers, not politicians,” she said the initiative would bring together citizens from diverse backgrounds to contribute to social development. The platform will focus on issues such as women and child welfare, youth well-being and community engagement. Rejecting speculation about political ambitions, Latha said her priority is social service and building stronger, more connected communities.
