Video: Govt agrees to CJP's demands, Jantar-Mantar protest stalemate ends

The 37-day demonstration at Jantar Mantar regarding the NEET paper leak has been called off following three rounds of discussions between a government delegation and protest representatives. The government agreed to key demands, promising to withdraw all FIRs filed against protesters and organizers across Delhi and other states. Authorities assured that copies of these cases would be provided within three to four days, guaranteeing that no future legal action will be taken against the agitators. Additionally, the government agreed to grant honorary compensation to the families of victims under applicable rules and regulations. A five-point charter of demands focusing on broader educational and examination reforms was submitted to the government, with both parties agreeing to meet every four weeks to discuss further implementation. Following these assurances, the protest leadership requested all participants to peacefully end the agitation and vacate the demonstration site with immediate effect.
