Twisha Sharma's husband, mother-in-law sent to 5-day CBI custody
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has secured a five-day remand for the mother-in-law and husband in connection with the Twisha Sharma death case. The accused will remain in custody until June 2. This development follows the High Court's decision to quash the mother-in-law's anticipatory bail, noting that witness statements and messages indicate both accused harassed the deceased and pressured her to terminate her pregnancy. The investigating agency informed the court about unexplained injuries on the deceased's body, which contradict claims of how they were sustained. Furthermore, officials accused the mother-in-law of leaking selective video clips to tamper with evidence and malign the deceased's character, alongside allegations of repeated dowry demands.
