A war of words erupted between the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, and the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, in Lok Sabha following the former's attack on the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, over the alleged use of force in student protests.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi linked the alleged police repression to the Home Ministry and said that Amit Shah authorised the shooting against the peaceful protestors. He further said that Shah also lacks the courage to attend the Parliamentary session as he is 'scared.'
Refuting his claims, Kiren Rijiju stood up and claimed that Rahul Gandhi was accusing Shah without having any concrete evidence. He further asked Gandhi to refrain from making any such remark without substantial proof.
