A family from West Bengal has reunited after months of separation. A man, who was wrongly deported to Bangladesh last year, has returned home and met his newborn son for the first time. The return followed legal intervention and a long wait. The man, his pregnant wife, and their eight-year-old son were picked up from Delhi on suspicion of being illegal migrants and deported to Bangladesh. The wife and son returned in December after Supreme Court intervention, and she gave birth in January. The man was handed over by Border Guard Bangladesh at the Mahadipur Border Check Post in Malda District. His neighbours, who were also deported and arrested, have also returned to their homes in Birbhum District.
