Thousands of devotees are expected to gather at Guruji Ka Ashram in Bhatti Mines, Mehrauli, on May 31, 2026, to observe Guruji Mahasamadhi Divas. In view of the large religious congregation and the expected presence of VIPs and dignitaries, Delhi Traffic Police has announced special traffic arrangements and restrictions to ensure smooth movement in the area.

Commuters travelling through South Delhi and adjoining routes are advised to plan their journeys in advance and avoid affected roads during peak hours.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS IN FORCE

According to the advisory, traffic restrictions will remain in place on Bhatti Mines Road between Chattarpur Road (SSN Marg)–Gurugram Road T-Point and Guruji Ka Ashram from 6 am till midnight on May 31.

Movement of Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) will also be restricted on the affected stretch during this period.

Authorities have warned that heavy traffic congestion is expected around the Ashram and nearby roads throughout the day.

DIVERSION PLAN FOR HEAVY VEHICLES

To manage the expected rush, heavy vehicles will be diverted from key points in the area.

The diversions include:

  • Traffic from Mandi Road-Jonapur Cut towards Mehrauli-Gurugram Road.

  • Traffic from Bhatti Mines Road near Mallu Farm (Bandh Road Cut) towards Jonapur-Mehrauli-Gurugram Road.

    Motorists are advised to avoid Chattarpur Road (SSN Marg) and adjoining roads wherever possible and use alternate routes.

ENTRY TO GURUJI KA ASHRAM

Delhi Traffic Police has informed that entry for all devotees and vehicles visiting Guruji Ka Ashram will be allowed only through Bhatti Mines Road.

Devotees planning to attend the event are advised to reach the Ashram before 5 am to avoid traffic congestion and delays.

Those travelling from Gurugram and Faridabad have been advised to approach the Ashram via Dera Border for smoother access.

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS

Adequate parking facilities have been arranged inside the Radha Swami Satsang Complex in Bhatti Mines.

However, parking will not be allowed on SSN Marg or any restricted road stretch. Vehicles found parked improperly may be towed away and legal action may be taken against owners.

Visitors are encouraged to follow designated parking instructions to avoid inconvenience.

EMERGENCY SERVICES TO GET PRIORITY ACCESS

Emergency service vehicles, including ambulances, fire brigade units and police vehicles, will be given unrestricted access through restricted and diverted routes while performing emergency duties.

Emergency vehicles approaching from Faridabad via Dera More and Mandi Border have been advised to use Mehrauli-Gurugram Road for faster movement.

ADVISORY FOR COMMUTERS

Delhi Traffic Police has urged commuters to avoid the affected routes during the restriction period and plan travel in advance due to the anticipated heavy rush.

People have also been encouraged to use public transport wherever possible and follow directions issued by traffic personnel deployed on duty.

Authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic officials to ensure smooth traffic management and public convenience during the event.
