NEET re-exam 2026: Western Railway announces special trains for students
To facilitate students appearing for the RE-NEET examination on June 21, 2026, Western Railway has announced three pairs of special trains on select routes across Gujarat and Maharashtra. The services will feature sleeper and general class coaches and are aimed at ensuring hassle-free travel for candidates.

With the RE-NEET examination scheduled to be held on June 21, 2026, Western Railway has announced the operation of three pairs of special trains to assist students travelling to their examination centres.
The move is aimed at reducing travel difficulties and ensuring candidates can reach their destinations comfortably and on time.
The railway administration said the special services will operate on key routes across Gujarat and Maharashtra and will include both sleeper and general class coaches.
MANINAGAR-BANDRA TERMINUS SPECIAL TRAIN
One of the special services will run between Maninagar in Ahmedabad and Bandra Terminus in Mumbai.
Train No. 09472 will depart from Maninagar at 8:30 AM on June 20 and arrive at Bandra Terminus at 6:15 PM the same day.
The return service, Train No. 09471, will leave Bandra Terminus at 9:15 PM on June 20 and reach Maninagar at 6:00 AM on June 21.
The train will halt at Anand, Vishwamitri, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Palghar and Borivali stations in both directions.
OKHA-GANDHINAGAR CAPITAL SPECIAL TRAIN
Western Railway will also run a special train between Okha and Gandhinagar Capital to cater to students travelling from the Saurashtra region.
Train No. 09554 will depart Okha at 5:00 AM on June 20 and reach Gandhinagar Capital at 3:00 PM the same day.
The return service, Train No. 09553, will leave Gandhinagar Capital at 8:55 PM on June 21 and arrive in Okha at 6:40 AM on June 22.
The train will stop at Dwarka, Bhatia, Khambhalia, Kanalus, Jamnagar, Hapa, Paddhari, Rajkot, Wankaner, Than, Muli Road, Surendranagar, Viramgam, Ambli Road and Chandlodiya B stations.
BHAVNAGAR TERMINUS-GANDHIGRAM SPECIAL TRAIN
For students travelling from the Bhavnagar region, a special service will operate between Bhavnagar Terminus and Gandhigram.
Train No. 09254 will leave Bhavnagar Terminus at 11:40 AM on June 20 and reach Gandhigram at 4:10 PM.
The return service, Train No. 09253, will depart Gandhigram at 8:00 PM on June 21 and arrive at Bhavnagar Terminus at 12:35 AM on June 22.
The train will halt at Bhavnagar Para, Sihor, Dhola, Botad, Dhandhuka, Dholka, Bavla and Sarkhej stations in both directions.
BOOKINGS OPEN FROM JUNE 19
Western Railway has announced that bookings for all three pairs of special trains will begin on June 19, 2026. Passengers can reserve tickets through railway reservation counters as well as the IRCTC website.
Railway officials said the additional services have been planned keeping in mind the expected movement of students and accompanying family members ahead of the re-examination.
