Alpha Movie Release and Review Live: Sunny Deol cheers for brother Bobby

A fan shared pictures of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's scenes together from Alpha and praised their chemistry. "If not a pair, why so much chemistry?" read the post.

Hrithik Roshan has a special appearance in Alpha and this was revealed in the trailer itself. Fans are going gaga about him on social media.

The supporting cast doesn't help matters either. Anil Kapoor, as the RAW chief, brings little beyond dialoguebaazi. Bobby Deol, meanwhile, seems determined to recreate the intimidating aura of Abrar from Animal. The intense stare and sculpted physique certainly add style, but menace cannot be pretended through body language alone. The writing doesn't give him enough substance.

For a debut feature, Shiv Rawail still delivers a better-directed film than Ayan Mukerji managed with War 2. Even with its sluggish screenplay, Alpha is more coherent than the expensive spoof that War 2 often resembled. There are flashes of ambition, well-mounted action and glimpses of what the film could have been. But glimpses are not enough.

Sharvari is experiencing a major case of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) as Alpha releases in theatres today. The actor took to her Instagram Stories to share how much she misses being in her hometown to witness the film's release while she is currently shooting for another project in the UK.

Alpha has secured a massive nationwide release, with reports suggesting it is screening on around 2,750 screens and across more than 9,000 shows in India, making it one of Bollywood's widest releases in recent times. According to a trade source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, YRF has managed to secure a strong exhibition footprint for the film despite a competitive release window, underscoring the studio's confidence in the spy thriller.

YRF has rolled out a detailed show-sharing directive for Alpha, instructing exhibitors to follow a fixed screening schedule across cinemas. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the studio has asked theatres not to schedule any shows before 9:30 am. It has also advised exhibitors to keep ticket prices in line with the weekend rates of Welcome to the Jungle. Additionally, YRF has prescribed a minimum number of daily shows based on the number of screens at each cinema to ensure the film gets a wide release across both multiplexes and single-screen theatres.

One X user shared a video from a theatre, claiming that nearly 80 per cent of the audience comprised women during the screening.

If you thought that Alpha showed a Pakistni love angle, then one of the X users, just cleared that misconception.

He wrote, "#Alpha is decent, no Pakistan love here, no such angle. Very plain story, predictable for sure.. full review in sometime… gotta go and get some lunch. But just wanna say, it’s not as bad as War 2 was so it might work in cinemas (sic)."

The screen presence, body language and commanding attitude expected from a character like this are simply missing. sharvari is severely underutilized and gets very little scope to leave an impression. Several portions feel outdated and forced, making the narrative drag. Overall, the first half is a real test of your patience. All eyes are on the second half now. It needs to deliver in a big way (sic)."

One more thing, nobody destroys Haryanavi language the way Bollywood does. + only in YRF’s world, a spy eats pack of fries after doing mission and noodles after an intense fight… & man.. no soldier or assassin really act like this.”
