Alpha trailer: Alia ready for agnipariksha as modern-day Sita, Hrithik joins
YRF has unveiled the trailer of Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Sharvari. The footage also reveals Hrithik Roshan's special appearance, tying the film to the wider spy universe.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) on Wednesday shared the trailer of Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Sharvari. The trailer also reveals a special appearance by Hrithik Roshan, who reprises his role as Kabir and plays an important part in YRF's expanding spy universe.
The trailer introduces Alia as Sita, a highly trained assassin raised and built to kill. She finds herself going head-to-head with her mentor-turned-foe, played by Bobby Deol, who essays the film's primary antagonist. Packed with high-octane action sequences, slick visuals and globetrotting espionage, Alpha positions itself as a full-blown entertainer centred on the fearless "Alpha" spirit embodied by its two female leads.
As shown in the trailer, Alia's Sita is joined by Sharvari. While her character arc is largely kept under wraps, the trailer hints at her teaming up with Sita in a mission to stop Bobby Deol's character at any cost. Anil Kapoor, who was introduced as RAW chief Vikrant Kaul in War 2, also appears in the film and is teased to have a connection to the mysterious Alpha programme.
While the trailer reveals much of the story, its characters and even a special appearance, it draws heavily from the Ramayana. Alia repeatedly describes herself as a modern-day Sita, determined to burn Lanka herself and unafraid of undergoing an agnipariksha. Dialogues such as, "Is baar Sita ab Lanka khud jalane aayi hai," and "Shuru karo agnipariksha," reinforce the film's mythological parallels.
Adding to the trailer's energy is Global Top DJ HUGEL's chart-topping track Jamaican Bam Bam, which powers the action-packed footage and underscores the adrenaline-fuelled tone that Alpha promises to deliver on the big screen.
Alpha is YRF's seventh film in the coveted spy universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Tiger 3, War, War 2 and Pathaan. The story is by Uday Chopra, while the screenplay has been written by Soumil Shukla and Shridhar Raghavan. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail, son of veteran filmmaker Rahul Rawail.
Alpha is slated to hit theatres on July 3.
