The makers of Mirzapur: The Movie released the first teaser of the film on Thursday. Packed with action, mystery, drama, emotions, romance and, of course, some bhaukaal, the teaser gave a glimpse of all the characters in the film.

The new entries include Ravi Kishan, Jitendra Kumar and Sonal S Chauhan, while the film features its iconic characters played by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Rasika Dugal, Abhishek Banerjee, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gupta and Shweta Tripathi.

This is for the first time that the iconic world of Mirzapur is making the leap from OTT to theatres, bringing the same intensity, storytelling, and larger-than-life scale to cinema. The story is set in the same timeline that began with Season 1 in 2018. However, the film expands the saga with a new story crafted for the big screen. Which is why several characters who had died in the show - Divyendu's Munna Bhaiya, Kulbhushan Kharbanda's Satyanand Tripathi and Shriya's Sweety Gupta - will be seen in the film.

An interesting addition in the film comes via Bablu Pandit. The character played by actor Vikrant Massey in Season 1 will now be played by Jitendra Kumar. Joining the saga is Ravi Kishan as a new gangster. The teaser keeps exploring the streets of Purvanchal to the deserts of Rajasthan.

It doesn't give away the story or the character details - which works in its favour.
