Actor Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle continued its strong box office run over the weekend. The comedy film has now moved close to the Rs 100-crore mark worldwide.

Actor Akshay Kumar’s latest comedy film, Welcome To The Jungle, continued its hit run at the box office on Day 3. According to trade website Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 24.75 crore nett (gross minus taxes) in India on its Day 3. The film was screened across 10,867 shows on the day, taking its total India gross collection to Rs 76.50 crore and its total India nett collection to Rs 63.75 crore so far.
The ensemble film also added to its overseas business on Day 3, collecting Rs 6 crore and taking its total overseas gross to Rs 16.70 crore. With this, its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 93.20 crore. Although the comedy caper was released on June 26, its paid previews had begun a day earlier.
Its box office run began with Day 0 previews on the first Thursday, when it earned Rs 3.75 crore nett in India from 2,494 shows, with an occupancy of 26 per cent. On Day 1, the first Friday, the film collected Rs 15.25 crore nett from 10,892 shows, again with 26 per cent occupancy. On Day 2, the first Saturday, it earned Rs 20 crore nett across 10,396 shows, with occupancy rising to 33 per cent.
On Day 3, the film recorded a nett collection of Rs 24.75 crore in India, while its listed occupancy for the day stood at 41 per cent.

Among key centres, the National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the highest number of shows at 954, with an occupancy of 47.5 per cent. Mumbai followed with 752 shows and 49 per cent occupancy, while Ahmedabad had 595 shows and the highest occupancy among the three at 58.8 per cent.
