Aamir also said Junaid has followed his character in Ek Din with full honesty. "Although it’s not a very heroic character, he has never tried to step out of it," the Sitare Zameen Par actor said, adding that Junaid fully becomes the character he is playing on screen.
About Ek Din
Ek Din is backed by Aamir Khan Productions and is co-produced by Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit. The film marks a reunion between Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan as co-producers after Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Sunil Pandey, a long-time associate of Aamir who earlier worked as an assistant director on Delhi Belly and Laal Singh Chaddha, is making his directorial debut with the film.
In the film, Junaid plays a shy and introverted man who struggles to express his feelings to his office colleague, played by Sai Pallavi. Though they work in the same office, he finds it difficult to speak to her. The story later shifts to Japan, where her character meets with an accident and suffers from Transient Global Amnesia, remembering only Junaid’s character, who saved her life.
Ek Din is set for a theatrical release on May 1.
