Actor Alia Bhatt says filming the first episode of India's Got Latent Season 2 was no easy task – not because of the shoot itself, but because she couldn't stop laughing. Speaking at a promotional event in Jaipur on Monday, the actor revealed that her fitness tracker even showed she was "very stressed" after hours of continuous laughter on set.

Alia appeared on the debut episode of the new season alongside her Alpha co-star Sharvari to promote their upcoming spy thriller. Her comments came as the episode has sparked mixed reactions online, with viewers divided over whether the show has retained the chaotic charm of its first season.

Recalling the shoot, the 33-year-old said, "We love this special, we love how much laughter he brings to everybody. And it was a lot of fun. Actually, what you saw was one hour. We were there for four to five hours. My heart rate tracker said I was very stressed because it is not normal, I guess, to laugh so much."

The first episode marked Samay Raina's return with India's Got Latent after the controversy surrounding the previous season. While some viewers welcomed the comeback, others felt the latest episode lacked the raw, unscripted energy that had made the show a viral hit.

Several users criticised the episode for feeling toned down, overly promotional and scripted. Others, however, felt parts of the episode still delivered. Some praised Raina's jokes about Alia's Jigra and her Cannes appearance, while another viewer called the Donald Trump parody the episode's standout moment.

Days after the episode premiered, Alia also praised Raina and Balraj Ghai's friendship in a behind-the-scenes video shared online. "When you talked about your friendship, I could actually see it. It was so nicely explained and expressed. I was crying over there. I feel like I know both of you really well because of this special," she said.

Meanwhile, directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha releases in theatres on July 3. The film marks the seventh instalment in YRF's Spy Universe and stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol.
