We will not rest: Actor Manjari Fadnnis vows justice for society dog Mikey
Manjari Fadnnis has vowed to seek justice after the killing of Mikey, a dog from her housing society. She said residents are aiding the police investigation and want other strays in the complex kept safe.

Actor Manjari Fadnnis has said she will seek justice for Mikey, a dog from her housing society who was allegedly killed. In a note on social media, the actor wrote about the safety of other strays living in the residential complex.
Sharing a throwback video of Mikey, Fadnnis said residents had been deeply affected by the incident and were determined to assist the police investigation by gathering evidence against those responsible.
In an emotional note, the actor wrote, "Dear Mikey... None of us living here have slept well since we learned what happened to you. There is an army of people in this society who loved you and have been working tirelessly to gather evidence against those responsible. We will not rest until they are held accountable and punished (sic)."
Fadnnis said those responsible may have believed nobody would notice Mikey's disappearance because he was a stray. She said the dog was an integral part of the community and was loved by many families in society.
She added, "They thought you were a stray and that nobody would care if you suddenly disappeared. But they didn't realise this society was your home and that you had many families who cared for you. Rest now, little one. We'll get to the truth and make sure your friends are safe (sic)."
What happened to Mikey?
In an earlier video, Fadnnis said Mikey had been living in the housing society since 2019 after being abandoned by his original owners. Over the years, several residents had grown attached to him and regularly looked after and fed him, making him a much-loved member of the community.
Fadnnis's posts said residents have been shaken by Mikey's alleged killing, are helping the police investigation, and want those responsible to be punished while also ensuring the safety of the other strays in the complex.
