Once a cheater, always a cheater? Sara Ali Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana differ
Actors Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana clashed over whether a cheater can change. The duo recently appeared in the film Pati, Patni Aur Wo Do, which was released in theatres on May 15.

Actors Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana, who recently starred in Pati, Patni Aur Wo Do, have offered sharply different views on infidelity during a recent interaction. Sara backed the notion, “Once a cheater, always a cheater”, while Ayushmann said people should not be fixed with such labels forever.
The exchange also drew in actor Rakul Preet Singh, who sided with Ayushmann and said a person who has cheated will not necessarily do so again. Sara, however, stood by her position and said that once someone has cheated, the tag stays, even if that person may not repeat the act.
What Sara and Ayushmann said
During the discussion on Red FM, Ayushmann said, “There is a journey from being a red flag to a green flag. Nobody is born a green flag.” Sara disagreed and said, “I believe in once a cheater, always a cheater. Because he has cheated, right? What is the definition of a cheater? If a person has cheated, he is a cheater.”
Rakul supported Ayushmann’s view and said the person will not necessarily cheat again. Sara did not agree. She said, “You are labelled a cheater, and that can’t be changed. If he is a cheater, there are chances that he will cheat again, but maybe he won’t. Once you have cheated, you have lost the privilege of saying that it is above me, I will not do it ever again. You are a cheater, but you may not cheat again. That’s a different thing.”
She added, “I am not saying that he will cheat again, but once you have got that tag, it can’t be removed.”
Ayushmann’s jibe during the exchange
Later in the conversation, Ayushmann joked about Sara’s strong stand and linked it to her personal life. He said, “She is not letting it go. Sara, let him go, forget him, forgive him. If he loves again, he might not cheat.”
In the past, Sara has been linked to several actors. She was rumoured to be in a brief relationship with her Love Aaj Kal co-star Kartik Aaryan. Last year, she also sparked dating buzz after she was clicked visiting a gurudwara with actor-musician Arjun Pratap Bajwa.
A wider debate on infidelity
The discussion comes at a time when infidelity has also been a subject of debate on other shows. In an episode of Two Much, Twinkle Khanna, Kajol, Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor spoke about fidelity and relationships. Janhvi said physical infidelity would end a relationship for her. Khanna, Kajol and Johar said such acts may not necessarily be deal-breakers. The conversation later turned to whether emotional infidelity could be more damaging.
