Jacob Elordi snaps back during a fan encounter in Japan: Don't touch me
A video of actor Jacob Elordi confronting a fan who touched him during a photo request in Japan has gone viral on social media. The incident comes as buzz builds around his upcoming film The Dog Stars and dating rumours with model Kendall Jenner.

Actor Jacob Elordi is back in the spotlight after a brief but sharp exchange with a fan outside a restaurant in Japan was caught on video and widely shared online. In the clip, the actor reacts after being touched while being asked for a photograph, turning a few seconds on the street into a fresh round of attention around one of Hollywood’s most closely watched young stars.
The moment has surfaced just as Elordi is also being discussed for his next film, The Dog Stars, whose first trailer has been released by 20th Century Studios.
The video, shared by Instagram user @otaviobittencourt, shows Elordi walking out of a restaurant in Japan when a fan approaches him and says, “What up, chief?” As Elordi keeps moving, the fan appears to lean in for a picture and places a hand on the actor’s back.
The contact appears to catch Elordi off guard. He stops at once, turns around and says, “Please, don’t touch me, bro!” He then walks away from the area. Soon after, the clip began circulating across social media platforms.
Elordi remains in focus
Elordi has continued to attract attention in recent months for both his screen work and reports about his personal life. He has been linked to model Kendall Jenner after sightings in Los Angeles and reports of a holiday in Hawaii fuelled speculation. Neither Elordi nor Jenner has commented publicly on the rumours.
Recent reports also placed Elordi and Jenner together in Los Angeles with Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet. Elordi has previously been linked to Olivia Jade Giannulli, Kaia Gerber, Zendaya and Joey King.
The Australian actor rose to fame with Netflix’s The Kissing Booth films and later received acclaim for Euphoria. He has since taken on projects including Saltburn, Frankenstein and Wuthering Heights.
Elordi will be next seen in The Dog Stars, directed by Ridley Scott and based on Peter Heller’s bestselling novel of the same name. He plays Hig, a young pilot trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
The film also stars Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Benedict Wong and Guy Pearce. Scott directs from a screenplay by Mark L Smith. Scott, Smith, Michael Pruss and Cliff Roberts are producers, while Lily Brooks-Dalton, Brandon Scott Smith, Peter Heller and Aidan Elliott are executive producers.
The Dog Stars is set to arrive in cinemas on August 28.
