In a recent interview ahead of Spider-Man: Brand New Day release, Holland said Downey called him to reveal the news. Recalling the moment, Holland said, "I think I hung up and said to Zendaya, 'Downey’s back'."

Holland also spoke warmly about his enduring bond with Downey, as the duo has maintained a close, mentor-like friendship long after closing their shared chapter in the MCU.
