Pawan Kalyan meets fan batting rare genetic disorder, extends treatment support

Pawan Kalyan met 17-year-old Niranjan at his Hanumakonda home after learning of his wish. He offered aid, prayers and support while saying the teenager inspired him.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan travelled to Hanumakonda in Telangana's Warangal district on Wednesday to meet 17-year-old Niranjan, a fan battling a rare genetic disorder. While the visit fulfilled the teenager's long-held wish of meeting the actor, Pawan Kalyan later said it was Niranjan who left him inspired.

Sharing photographs from the visit on X, Pawan Kalyan said he had come across a video of the teenager, who is "bravely battling a rare disease", and learnt that Niranjan had expressed a heartfelt wish to meet him.

"I went there believing I was fulfilling his wish. But in truth, it was Niranjan who left me inspired. His courage, resilience and unwavering spirit deeply moved me (sic)," the actor-politician wrote.

Pawan Kalyan visited Niranjan's home in Hanuman Nagar and spent nearly 45 minutes with him and his family. He also spoke with the teenager's parents to understand his medical condition and ongoing treatment.

Niranjan has been living with a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder that has left him bedridden and affected his physical growth.

During the visit, Pawan Kalyan embraced the teenager, offered him prasadam from the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple and announced financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh towards his treatment. He also assured the family that special prayers would be offered at Warangal's Bhadrakali Temple for Niranjan's recovery.

The actor-politician also watched old videos of Niranjan dancing and mimicking him from his healthier days. When the teenager told him he wanted a pet dog, Pawan Kalyan promised to arrange one.

After learning about the family's financial struggles, he directed Jana Sena Party leaders to explore setting up a canteen to help them earn a sustainable livelihood.

In his post, Pawan Kalyan also thanked the Telangana government and local authorities for facilitating the visit. Addressing party workers gathered in Warangal, he expressed gratitude to Janasainiks and local Jana Sena leaders for their warm welcome, saying their affection and blessings remained "a constant source of strength."

After meeting Niranjan, Pawan Kalyan visited the Bhadrakali Temple in Warangal to offer prayers.

Meanwhile, the actor-politician was last seen Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film, directed by Harish Shankar, released in theatres in March 2026.
