Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi hit theatres on June 4, 2026. While the film received mixed reviews and sparked debate over Janhvi Kapoor's character, audiences turned up in large numbers, making it one of the biggest commercial successes of the year. According to Sacnilk, the film grossed Rs 338.98 crore worldwide, including Rs 286 crore in India.

Alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles. The music and background score have been composed by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman.

At the film's success celebration, Chiranjeevi revealed that Ram Charan had sustained a serious eye injury while filming an action sequence. "During the shoot, Charan suffered an eye injury. I was terrified when I saw the photo. He needed eight stitches, yet he didn't back down. We were told he could have lost his eye had the injury landed a little lower. Thankfully, it was on his eyebrow," he said.

Praising his son's commitment, Chiranjeevi added, "Charan is the son of a star hero; he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He didn't have to work this hard. He could have simply done what the director asked and moved on. But he chose hard work."

The veteran actor also recalled witnessing Ram Charan's rigorous transformation at home. "He would wake up at 4 am, train, head to the sets, return late at night, have some soup and train again. I asked him if it was necessary, but as an actor, I admire his dedication. It filled me with immense pride," he said.
