Yash’s Toxic has landed in controversy after its teaser, Ladies & Ladies, drew criticism for what many viewers called "vulgar" content. Amid the backlash, fans have dug up an old interview of the actor in which he had said that he would never perform a scene that he wouldn't become comfortable watching with his parents.

The contrast has sparked conversations online, with many pointing out that the film's bold promotional material appears to be at odds with the Kannada superstar's earlier stance on intimate scenes.

Earlier, during an appearance on actor Ramesh Aravind's talk show Weekend With Ramesh, the actor explained the principle he has always tried to follow as an actor.

"If I'm not comfortable watching a particular scene with my parents sitting beside me, I won't do it. Mostly because I feel it would make many viewers uncomfortable as well,” he said.

Years before KGF, Yash revealed that filming romantic scenes always made him nervous.

"I'm surprised when people tell me I perform romantic scenes well. I used to get extremely nervous while shooting them,” he added.

Yash also looked back on shooting his first romantic scene during his television days, admitting that the experience left him completely overwhelmed.

Recalling the incident, the actor said, "In the very first shot of my television show, I was asked to pull the lead actress' saree. I panicked. The actresses would encourage me, saying, 'It's okay, it's just a scene,' but I would tell them, 'Please let me be.' Even my mother used to get disappointed and say, 'You don't know how to do romantic scenes.'"

The old interview has resurfaced as Toxic:A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups faces criticism over its intimate visuals. The new clip puts the spotlight on the film's female characters. However, instead of generating excitement, the promo has drawn criticism from a section of social media users, who accused it of objectifying women and giving its leading ladies little to do despite centring the promo around them.
