The big focus of this episode of India First is on the Ram Mandir donation scam. The probe into the embezzlement of devotees' donations at the Ram Mandir has taken a major turn. The ambit of the probe is extended from the temple premises to the banking system involved. Ram Temple Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, who resigned from his position on moral grounds, was grilled by the police for three hours. India Today has accessed exclusive information about the line of questioning. The former office bearer of the trust was questioned about functioning of the trust and the management of the donations received. Champat Rai denied any wrongdoing. Meanwhile, a delegation led by UP Congress Chief Ajay Rai was set to visit the Ram Temple, but the nine-member Congress delegation was detained in hotels and stopped from darshan. The opposition has called it a betrayal of aastha, but the BJP hit back saying that the same opposition had denied the existence of Lord Ram before 2017. The Congress and the Samajwadi Party have been demanding a court-monitored probe into the Ram Mandir donation scam. Will the government accept? Watch as panellists share their views on this and more on the show.
