The southwest monsoon is teasing the Indian mainland, hovering at the doorstep of Kerala.

While the official onset over the southern coast faces a brief delay of three to four days, diverse weather systems are triggering intense rain, thundersqualls, and hailstorms across multiple states.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heatwave conditions have completely abated across the nation, providing much-needed respite.

For Monday, June 1, the weather repository forecasts widespread atmospheric activity.

Downpours will target the south peninsular pocket, with isolated heavy rainfall predicted for Kerala, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, and South Interior Karnataka.
