An Instagram story from India's premier doubles duo Satwik Rankirajreddy and Chirag Shetty has caught the attention of the fans after India's Thomas Cup bronze medal win. In a post shared on their Instagram accounts, the former World No.1 men's double pair showed two pictures of the squad that travelled to Horsens to compete for the Thomas Cup.

It was a classic 'how it started, how it's going' Instagram story, but the cryptic message at the bottom caught the attention of the fans. In both the pics, it could be seen that there was no fanfare around the Indian team as they went to Denmark in search of a medal. In addition, it was seen that there was no grand departure or welcome for the team.

Satwik said that it felt like no one seemed to know what had happened during the past two weeks, and no one really cared about it as well.

"Back home now. As usual, no one knows what happened over the past two weeks, and it seems like no one really cares," said Satwik.

The story was reposted by Chirag on his Instagram account also. It remains unclear as to what Satwik and Chirag mentioning in their post after reaching home. This caught the interest of the fans, who called it sad to see the badminton heroes get a muted reception back home.

INDIA'S THOMAS CUP CAMPAIGN

India ended their Thomas Cup 2026 campaign with a bronze medal—just the second podium finish for the men’s team, and their first since the landmark gold in 2022 achieved by largely the same group of players.

Satwik-Chirag, Lakshya Sen and Ayush Shetty were the standout performers for India in their run to the semi-final, where they lost 0-3 to France.

India were without the services of Lakshya for the clash against the French, after he sustained an injury during the clash against Chinese Taipei.

Satwik-Chirag couldn't compete in the match as France won all three singles matches comprehensively.
