India at Commonwealth Games: August 1 schedule, medal events, fixtures in Glasgow

Commonwealth Games: India will have several opportunities to add to their medal tally on Saturday, particularly in athletics, boxing and judo. In athletics, India's leading pole vaulters Dev Kumar Meena and Kuldeep Kumar will compete in the men's final, while Praveen Chithravel and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran will be in action in the men's triple jump final.

India enters the penultimate day of the 2026 Commonwealth Games riding high on momentum following a historic Friday in judo. Fresh off two landmark golds, the contingent shifts focus to Saturday's action, with podium opportunities across judo, athletics, para-athletics, and boxing.

On Friday, Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh became India's first-ever Commonwealth Games judo champions, while Yamini Mourya added a silver to cap a standout campaign. Judo action continues Saturday afternoon with Unnati Sharma (63kg), Harsh Tokas (81kg), Inunganbi Takhellambam (70kg), and Karanjit Singh Maan (90kg) in the preliminaries, ahead of evening medal matches.
