The former Indian captain paused his keynote address mid-event to answer a phone call from his spouse, Marshneil, sparking widespread amusement online.

The relatable incident happened in Mumbai during a special gathering hosted by the Rotary Club of Bombay Airport. Gavaskar was attending as the Chief Guest to celebrate a major milestone for the 'Gift of Life' initiative, which has provided free, life-saving cardiac surgeries to roughly 850 underprivileged children.
