"You write songs from the heart, and it shows. You also represent your story, which is quite special. The one track I resonate with the most is 'Winning Speech,'" Kohli said, as quoted by Indian Express.

WHY WINNING SPEECH REMINDS KOHLI OF HIS DAD

The batting great also explained why the song resonates with him on an emotional level. Kohli said he sees similarities between Aujla's life story and his own, particularly the shared experience of losing their fathers at a young age, making the track all the more meaningful for him.

"It explains the journey he has been through, and I have felt a bit of similarity in it with my journey as well. I also lost my dad when I was pretty young. So, that song is quite special for me. I have heard it often before going to play matches," said Kohli.

Kohli is expected to be a part of the squad for the England ODIs next month, but his participation will depend on his fitness. Kohli suffered an injury in the IPL 2026 final and was ruled out of the recent ODI series against Afghanistan.
