Edgbaston is widely regarded as one of cricket's premier venues and has served as the home ground of Warwickshire County Cricket Club since 1885.

The Birmingham-based stadium has been a fixture of first-class and international cricket for well over a century, welcoming many of the sport's greatest players and witnessing numerous memorable moments.

Its Test cricket journey began in 1902 when it hosted an Ashes clash between England and Australia, just a few years after being granted first-class status.

The venue has also played a pioneering role in the game's development. In 1973, Edgbaston staged the final of the inaugural Women's World Cup, where England defeated Australia by 92 runs to claim the title.

Innovation continued in 1997 when the ground hosted the United Kingdom's first competitive floodlit day-night cricket match. Warwickshire emerged victorious over Somerset by 35 runs in front of a crowd of 16,000 spectators.

Two decades later, Edgbaston once again made history by staging the UK's first-ever day-night Test match. England, led by Joe Root, dominated the West Indies to secure victory by an innings and 209 runs.
