In a video released by the club's official Instagram account, Shroff said that a work commitment came up at the last moment, meaning that he won't be able to make it to Shillong for the match against Nongkseh SS & CC.

“Really, really unfortunate, but a work commitment has come up at the last moment, so I won’t be able to make it to Shillong for the Durand Cup,” Shroff said.

The Bollywood star said he really wanted to play for the club and will be supporting them during the match.
