Days after viral prank, Novak Djokovic reunited with the ball girl he jokingly startled during his Wimbledon second-round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Ahead of his quarter-final match against Canada's the Felix Auger-Aliassime, Djokovic's interaction with the ball girl is now melting hearts.

The Serbian great met the young ball girl behind the scenes at Wimbledon, apologised for the scare he had given her on Centre Court and presented her with a signed cap as a keepsake. The cap wa an apology for the viral prank Djokovic played on the girl. During his match against Tsitsipas, Djokovic asked the nearby ball girl for a pair of scissors to trim the shoulder tape.

A few days later, Wimbledon shared footage of the pair meeting again.

"Sorry about the scare the other day," Djokovic said with a smile.

"Don't be sorry about it at all," the ball girl replied. "I found it very funny."

Djokovic laughed before explaining, "Serbian sense of humour."

The youngster then admitted she had spent the day thinking about getting even.

"I've been thinking all day how I can scare you back. But I thought it would be really embarrassing if I didn't execute it well, so I've decided not to."

Djokovic appreciated the joke before reaching into his tennis bag and pulling out a Wimbledon cap, signing it for her.

"You did a great job," he told her while handing over the gift.

The two then posed for photographs together, bringing a heartwarming end to one of the tournament's most talked-about off-court moments.

The reunion comes during another impressive Wimbledon run for Djokovic. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has looked in commanding form as he chases a record-extending 25th major title and an eighth Wimbledon crown, continuing to prove that even at 39, he remains one of the favourites for the title.
