The six-time Grand Slam champion extended her winning run at the All England Club and will next face the winner of the Alexandra Eala vs Maya Joint clash.

A strong response from Karolina Pliskova. The 34-year-old former World No. 1 is no pushover.

After going down 1-6 in the first set, she has broken Iga Swiatek early in the second.

On Court No. 3, Australia's Alex de Minaur, the fifth seed, beat Adrian Mannarino 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in an hour and 50 minutes to progress to the men's singles third round.

Iga Swiatek is in the mood. The defending champion has made a strong start to her second-round match.

She beats Karolina Pliskova 6-1 in the opening set.
