Buy MacBook Air M5 with Rs 39,300 discount offer before Apple's price hikes kicks in
Apple's latest MacBook price hike has made the MacBook Air M5 much costlier, but one online seller is still offering it at the older price. Buyers can currently save up to Rs 39,300, along with an extra bank discount, before the listing is updated.

Apple has revised the prices of its MacBooks and iPads in India, making several models much more expensive than before. While the new pricing has already gone live on the Apple India website, not every retailer has updated their listings yet. This has created a short opportunity for buyers who were planning to purchase the latest MacBook Air M5. India Today Tech noticed that the 13-inch MacBook Air M5 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is still listed on Flipkart's mobile app for Rs 1,10,300. When Apple launched this model, it carried a price tag of Rs 1,19,900, meaning buyers are already getting a flat discount of Rs 9,600.
However, the deal looks much bigger after Apple's latest price revision. The same MacBook Air M5 now costs Rs 1,49,900 on Apple's official website. Compared to this new price, Flipkart's listing effectively offers a discount of Rs 39,300. The savings do not end there. Buyers using an HDFC Bank credit card can also avail of an instant discount of Rs 4,500, bringing down the effective purchase price even further.
Those planning to buy the laptop may want to act quickly. Apple has already announced the revised prices, and retailers are gradually updating their listings. Vijay Sales has already revised the pricing on its website, while India Today Tech noticed that the MacBook Air M5 listing was unavailable on Amazon and Reliance Digital, indicating that these platforms could be preparing to relist the laptop with the updated prices.
Because of this, there is no guarantee that Flipkart's current pricing will remain available for long. The price could change at any time as retailers begin aligning with Apple's revised rates. Buyers can also check offline stores, where some outlets may still have inventory purchased before the price revision.
If the latest MacBook Air M5 becomes unavailable at the older price, another option is to look at previous-generation MacBook Air models. Apple usually stops officially selling older versions after launching a new one, but third-party retailers often continue selling their remaining inventory. Since these older laptops are not directly affected by the latest price revision, they may continue to offer better value until existing stock runs out.
Apple has increased MacBook prices across the lineup
The MacBook Air 13-inch with the M5 chip has become Rs 30,000 more expensive, with its price increasing from Rs 1,19,900 to Rs 1,49,900. The 15-inch MacBook Air now starts at Rs 1,79,900 instead of Rs 1,44,900, reflecting a hike of Rs 35,000.
Apple has also increased the price of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip and 16GB RAM from Rs 1,69,900 to Rs 2,39,900, making it Rs 70,000 costlier than before. The MacBook Neo now costs Rs 79,900, up from Rs 69,900, while the MacBook Pro 14-inch with the M5 Max chip has received a massive price increase of Rs 1 lakh.
Explaining the decision, Apple told India Today Tech, "We have never seen a component price increase this much, this quickly. We have shielded our customers from these increases so far, but we have now reached a point where we need to begin raising prices on a number of products, including today's increases for iPad and Mac."
With retailers still updating their inventories and prices, buyers looking to purchase the MacBook Air M5 at the older rate may not have much time left before the remaining stock is sold out or repriced.
