CBSE portal vibe coded? Internet finds signs of AI made webpage
Amidst controversy over security measures for its OSM portal, CBSE released a new portal on June 2. However, users online seem to have found clues that this portal may have been vibe coded, or made using AI.

After a couple of high-profile breaches, CBSE launched a new portal on June 2 for students who want to apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheets. While CBSE claims to have addressed cybersecurity flaws that were exposed by teenage researchers in the old portal and its On-screen Marking (OSM) systems, the new site, some claim, may have been “vibe coded.”
Vibe coding refers to the use of AI tools, such as Claude Code, to write the code for the website. That is, a person can build a new website from scratch with just a couple of prompts, often without needing in-depth technical knowledge.
Users online believe that CBSE may vibe coded the re-evaluation portal. That is, I used some AI tools like Claude Code or Codex to create the website. But why? It appears that the new portal has similarities to webpages that are usually created by AI.
Users point out similarities to vibe coded websites
One user on X pointed out that the portal has emojis for different sections, something that is characteristic of AI written text. The user wrote, “So CBSE is using claude code to fix the mess they created, this website is made by claude code. They are not even bothered about the emojis.”
Do note that the new portal comes with the same visual look as the previous portal. The previous portal too had raised eyebrows over potentially being made with AI.
One Redditor pointed out that the colour scheme of the webpage too seemed off. The person wrote, “Fr broo its looking like they used claude for it lol cause only vibe coded websites have such basic emojis and cozy bg.” It is believed that vibe coded websites usually come with similar background gradients.
Another user on X went as far as a “vibe code detector” to find out if AI actually wrote the code for the website. The CBSE portal scored 58 per cent in this detector, with “high probability” of being vibe coded.
Though this does not guarantee whether CBSE actually used AI to create the portals. One person wrote on Reddit, “This isn't a valid metric. Lots of my shi gets flagged too. You can just check for yourself tbh, view the page source and cross-check for AI-esque code.” CBSE itself has not made any comment on whether it used to AI to create either of the portals.
Vibe coding itself has become quite popular in recent months. Companies like Amazon and Meta have reportedly been pushing for more AI use in the past. With some, like Anthropic claiming that AI now writes most of the company’s code.
We cannot confirm if CBSE did vibe code its re-evaluation site at the moment. But as was the case with the older portal, do not be surprised if teenage techies and professional hackers test the new CBSE portal to find out any potential vulnerabilities or more signs of it being made with AI.
