Google has historically launched its latest Pixel devices in the month of August as part of its Made by Google events. 2026 will likely be no different as the company has sent invites to select media, announcing the launch of the Google Pixel 11 series for August 12, 2026.

The invite shows a picture of two devices, likely from the Pixel 11 series in a golden shade with aluminium frames. The invite reads that the Pixel 11 will be launched on August 12 at an event in New York City.

We can expect the Pixel 11 devices to go on sale roughly a week after the launch, as was the case last year.

Google Pixel 11 series: Design and Pixel Glow

Keep in mind that while Google has not showcased the Pixel 11 devices just yet, leaks have surfaced online for weeks, giving us a clue about what we can expect from the tech giant.

Prior leaks have revealed images of the purported Pixel 11 series. The line-up is expected to comprise the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Going by the leaks, there is not much when it comes to design changes, except for an all-black camera module on the Pixel 11 series. That is, Google is likely carrying the same horizontally aligned camera module on its slab phones, though the Pixel 11 Pro Fold may get a redesigned camera bump.

But the bigger change is believed to be Pixel Glow. As per reports, Google may bring an array of LED lights on Pixel 11 devices that can be lit up for notifications, think similar to Glyph lights on Nothing phones. But Google’s solution is tipped to come with RGB lights, giving more customisation options at least in theory.

Display sizes are expected to remain broadly unchanged. The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are tipped to retain 6.3-inch OLED panels, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL is said to keep a 6.8-inch OLED display. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is rumoured to feature a 6.4-inch cover display and an 8.0-inch inner screen.

The full Pixel 11 range is expected to run on Google’s Tensor G6 processor, which has been described in reports as a 7-core chipset built on TSMC’s 2nm process. The switch to a 2nm process could bring in some major improvements in performance and efficiency when compared to the 3nm-based Tensor G5 used in the Pixel 10 series. The Pixel 11 phones are also said to switch to a MediaTek M90 modem, replacing Samsung’s modem.

On the camera side, there is little information available for the Pixel 11 series. However, it is likely that Google may carry over the cameras from the Pixel 10 series.

To give you some context, the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL came with a triple camera setup – a 50-megapixel main, a 48-megapixel ultrawide, and a 48-megapixel 5x telephoto. The vanilla Pixel 10, on the other hand, packs a 48-megapixel main, a 13-megapixel ultrawide, and 10.5-megapixel 5x telephoto.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold came with 48-megapixel main sensor, 10.5-megapixel ultrawide, and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto lens.

Though rumours have pointed to an ultra-low-light video mode with direct on-device processing, allowing for better results. Other tipped features include Cinematic Blur at 4K 30fps, a new video relight function, and a 100x zoom option.

Google is likely going to bring on-device AI features to the Pixel 11. These features may include new agentic AI capabilities too, alongside Gemini Intelligence.

Google Pixel 11 expected price

Reports have hinted that Google may increase the prices of the Pixel 11 series as phonemakers face higher component costs due to the ongoing memory crisis. For context, the Pixel 10 launched in India at Rs 79,999, while the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL were priced at Rs 1,09,999, and Rs 1,24,999 respectively. The top of the line Pixel 10 Pro Fold was priced at Rs 1,72,999.
