Apple's next iPhone launch is now just around two months away, and excitement is already building. The company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September, alongside its first foldable iPhone. As always, Apple has remained tight-lipped about its plans, but that hasn't stopped a steady stream of leaks and speculation.

From bigger batteries and the new A20 Pro chip to camera upgrades, a refined design, fresh colour options and even higher prices, here's everything we know about the iPhone 18 Pro so far.

iPhone 18 Pro expected India launch date

Apple is rumored to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its traditional September event. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple may target Tuesday, September 8, or Wednesday, September 9, 2026, for its annual keynote, with September 9 emerging as the stronger probability to give international media a travel day after the US Labor Day holiday.

Gurman also notes that retail store availability of the new iPhones and the first wave of deliveries will likely follow on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Now if you are wondering why the focus is only on the iPhone 18 Pro series, there's a reason. Rumours suggest Apple may split its iPhone launch this year. The standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and the next iPhone Air are reportedly expected to arrive in early 2027, leaving September's event for the Pro models and Apple's foldable iPhone.

iPhone 18 rumors design and colours updates

If you're expecting a complete redesign, then iPhone 18 Pro might disappoint you. Most leaks suggest Apple will stick with the familiar flat-edged design and triple-camera layout. However, the company is expected to refine the look with a more seamless rear panel, reducing the two-tone appearance seen on the current Pro models.

The camera module is also tipped to become slightly larger, while leaked supplier information suggests the Pro models could be thicker than before. The added thickness is believed to make room for larger batteries and an upgraded vapour chamber cooling system.

As for colours, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to arrive in a new Dark Cherry finish, which is tipped to be this year's signature shade. Other rumoured colour options include Light Blue, Silver and Dark Grey, although Apple could still make changes before the official launch.

Now coming to the front, Apple is expected to retain the same display sizes: 6.3 inches for the iPhone 18 Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.

The bigger change could come at the top of the display. Several reports suggest Apple is working on a smaller Dynamic Island, possibly by moving some Face ID components underneath the display. Apple is expected to retain its triple 48-megapixel camera system while upgrading the hardware underneath.

Reports suggest the main camera could finally receive a variable-aperture lens, allowing users greater control over depth of field and low-light photography. What does that mean for India? While Apple has not confirmed anything, reports suggest Apple may increase prices by around Rs 5,000 for the Pro models. If that happens, the iPhone 18 Pro could start at around Rs 1,39,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max may begin at around Rs 1,54,900.
