A man from Bengaluru shared a heartwarming encounter with a specially-abled delivery agent working with Zomato, a moment that has since drawn widespread attention online for its simple exchange of respect and appreciation.

The incident was shared on Instagram by user Sai Harsha, who posted a video capturing his interaction with the delivery agent during a routine food drop-off.

In the clip, Harsha approached the rider, who was seen operating a bike fitted with additional support features, and began a brief conversation acknowledging his effort.

He told the delivery partner that what he was doing was “truly amazing,” and asked him whether people were generally supportive and kind to him during his deliveries. The rider responded positively, noting that most customers were friendly and cooperative.

Harsha then thanked him personally for his work, calling him “inspiring,” before handing over a Rs 100 tip as a small gesture of appreciation. The delivery agent was seen smiling as he rode away, concluding the interaction on a warm note.

The caption on the post read, “Some deliveries stay with you longer than the food.”

Some commenters emphasised the emotional impact of the interaction, noting that the conversation stood out not because of the monetary tip, but because the delivery agent was addressed with respect and genuine appreciation.

They observed that small gestures like calling someone “Sir” or taking a moment to acknowledge their work can carry significant meaning in service-based roles.

Others framed the video as an example of inclusive participation in the workforce, pointing out that individuals overcoming physical challenges continue to contribute meaningfully across sectors, including last-mile delivery services.

They added that such visibility helps normalise disability in everyday work environments rather than treating it as exceptional.

A section of users also expressed admiration for the delivery agent’s positivity, noting that his calm and friendly response reflected resilience despite potential challenges on the job
