Bengaluru man returns to find 'no parking' etched onto his car
A Bengaluru man shared a post about how his car was vandalised overnight near BTM Layout, with 'No Parking' scratched on it.

Instead of a parking ticket, a Bengaluru man says he found something far worse waiting for him the next morning: deep scratches across his car and "No Parking" carved into the bonnet.
The man, identified as Joshua on Instagram, shared a video documenting the damage and described the incident as both shocking and disheartening. According to him, he parked his car around 11:30 pm on Wednesday while visiting a friend in the area.
Joshua said there were several other vehicles parked along the same street and that he did not notice any "No Parking" signs nearby. However, when he returned the next morning at around 9 am, he discovered extensive damage to his vehicle.
"Disappointed by what happened," he wrote in the caption accompanying the video. "When I returned around 9 am, I was shocked to find my car vandalised."
The footage shows deep scratches running across multiple parts of the vehicle, including the doors, side panels and bonnet. Most strikingly, the words "NO PARKING" appear to have been carved onto the front of the car using a sharp object.
Joshua alleged that a nearby building owner was responsible for the damage, claiming the vehicle had been scratched with stones and other sharp objects. He estimated that significant damage had been caused to both the paintwork and body of the car.
Beyond the financial loss, Joshua said he was disturbed by what the incident represented.
"If there was a concern about parking, there are civil ways to communicate it. Damaging someone's property is never the answer," he wrote.

In the comments section, he clarified that he was not a regular visitor to the area and had parked there only while meeting a friend. He also claimed the vehicle was not blocking any gate, driveway or access point for residents.
Joshua said he has since filed a complaint at Madiwala Police Station and hopes action will be taken.
The post quickly gained traction online, with many users expressing sympathy and anger over the alleged vandalism. While some called for strict action against those responsible, others said the incident highlighted growing tensions over parking in crowded urban neighbourhoods. Most agreed on one thing: regardless of the parking dispute, damaging someone's property is never justified.
