Instagram user Shruti shared the video, where she opened up about her monthly expenses as a single woman living in a one-bedroom apartment in Bengaluru's HSR Layout.

In the caption of her post, she wrote, "So here's my honest monthly breakdown as a single woman living alone in a 1BHK in HSR."

She explained that she spent Rs 36,000 every month on rent, while another Rs 5,000 went towards rented appliances. Electricity bills and househelp together cost her around Rs 4,000.

Since she cooked most of her meals and tries to maintain a healthy diet, she said her grocery and food delivery expenses came to around Rs 7,000 to 8,000 a month.

Her transport expenses added another Rs 4,000 to 5,000, while fitness activities, including Pilates, gym sessions and classes, cost around Rs 5,000. She joked that her spending on coffee, eating out and random cravings depended entirely on "how much self-control" she had, while shopping and impulse purchases were something she preferred not to discuss.
