The short clip, shared by Instagram user Shreyaa, captured what many viewers described as a simple yet powerful expression of familial love.
The video opened with a text overlay that read, “You casually said ‘I love Malda aam’ to your mother-in-law once,” before cutting to scenes of mangoes being carefully packed into a suitcase.
In the clip, Shreyaa’s husband who was filming the moment, said: “Bangalore jaa rahe hain, aam pack ho raha hai Bihar ka ki Bangalore mein khaayenge Malda aam (We’re going to Bangalore, so mangoes from Bihar are being packed so we can enjoy Malda mangoes there),” as his mother lovingly arranged the mangoes. She was then be heard saying, “Meri bahu khaayegi (My daughter-in-law will eat).”
The video later showed Shreyaa reacting with delight on seeing the generous haul of mangoes.
The video concluded as Shreyaa opened the refrigerator to reveal shelves packed with mangoes and joked, “The fridge has officially been converted into a Malda aam warehouse.”
“The sweetest thing in this video isn’t the Malda aam. It’s hearing her say, ‘Meri bahu khayegi',” Shreyaa wrote in the caption of the post.
