A video of a Delhi-based employee confronting his company's HR over an alleged salary shortfall has gone viral, reigniting conversations around wage transparency, workplace accountability and employees' rights.

The man claimed he was promised a monthly salary of Rs 13,000 but received only Rs 3,800 in his bank account after working for more than a month.

The incident allegedly took place at Nirvasa Telecom Pvt Ltd. in Delhi's Moti Nagar. In the now-viral clip, the employee is seen questioning company officials over the missing amount, repeatedly asking why his full salary had not been credited.

"Salary meri puri kyun nahi aayi (Why wasn't my full salary credited)," he asks while recording the interaction.

The video initially shows him pointing the camera towards the company's female HR executive, who objects to being filmed. He then turns the camera towards another employee, asking him whether he had received his salary in full.

According to the employee, when he earlier approached the HR regarding the issue, she allegedly responded, "Ab kuch nahi ho sakta (Nothing can be done now)." Shortly afterwards, she leaves the room.

The conversation then shifts to a male employee, who defends the HR executive and urges the man to remain polite. He argues that she may have spoken that way because she was irritated and explains that salary-related matters are not handled by HR alone.

The employee, however, insists he had been waiting since 1 pm for someone from the management to address his grievance. Throughout the exchange, he repeatedly asks officials to explain why his salary was significantly lower than what he says had been promised at the time of joining.

The clip has since spread widely across social media, triggering a debate over salary transparency and how companies handle employee grievances. While some users criticised the company's response, others argued that payroll issues often involve multiple departments and cannot always be resolved immediately.

One comment that gained attention read, "He really pulled the 'She's a girl, don't record her' card instead of asking why the man's salary was short. The missing salary became a side issue while everyone focused on defending the HR."

As the video continues to circulate online, it has prompted wider discussions about clear employment terms, timely grievance redressal and the importance of transparent communication between employers and employees.
