A woman from Delhi has claimed that a terrifying ordeal unfolded in broad daylight in Noida when an auto carrying her and two other women was allegedly chased by a car carrying three men, two of whom were naked.

Instagram user Deepika shared the now-viral video recounting the incident, saying she was still shaken days after what she described as a deeply frightening experience.

According to her, the incident happened last Friday while she and two other women were travelling in an auto from one place to another in Noida during office hours.

In the clip, Deepika appeared visibly disturbed as she spoke directly to the camera and described what happened.

“What will you do if a car filled with three men, out of which two are naked, are chasing your auto? That is exactly something that happened to us,” she said.

According to her account, the women had just left their office and were travelling through an area that had both crowded stretches and more secluded pockets when a cab carrying three men allegedly began following their auto. She claimed the vehicle repeatedly attempted to ambush or destabilise the auto by driving dangerously close to it.

Describing the moment they realised something was wrong, she said the women initially got startled and looked over, only to see one man completely naked, lying across the passenger seat with his legs resting on the dashboard, while the others appeared to grin.

“There was one guy who was completely naked, and he was lying on the passenger seat with his legs up on the dashboard, and they were grinning,” she recalled, adding that another person was seated in the back, but they could not properly see his face.

Deepika further alleged that the car then repeatedly tried to overtake the auto, at one point cutting in front of it and suddenly stopping. Fearing for their safety, the women began yelling at the auto driver to keep moving.

“All three of us were scared, startled. All we could think of was that we had to save ourselves and get out of here,” she said, adding that incidents regularly reported on the news only made the situation feel more frightening at the moment.

The woman also addressed questions she later received online about why they did not note down the car number or immediately contact the police, saying fear had completely taken over.

“We froze. Every time I think about this, even right now, I freeze,” she said.

In the caption accompanying the video, Deepika wrote that the fear from the incident had stayed with them, making them “100 times more scared and cautious” while travelling.

She urged women commuting in Noida to stay vigilant and avoid isolated routes, especially roads near drains or heavily green stretches when travelling alone.

The video prompted concern online, with many users urging her to formally report the incident to the police, warning that such behaviour could continue unchecked if no complaint was filed.

Others said merely hearing about the experience felt unsettling, with some sharing their own experiences of harassment in the NCR region despite being in seemingly secure areas.

A section of commenters also claimed that incidents involving harassment of women travelling in autos in Noida were becoming increasingly common, arguing that better awareness, quicker reporting mechanisms and stronger safety measures were urgently needed.
