Indian musician visited 245 countries before social media made travel cool
Guitarist Benny Prasad has shared a video showing the 16 Indian passports used during his journey across 245 nations, including Antarctica.

Most travellers treasure a passport filled with stamps. Musician Benny Prasad has 16 of them. The globetrotting Indian artist has gone viral after sharing a video showcasing the extraordinary paper trail of a journey that took him to 245 countries and territories, making him one of the fastest people to visit every nation on Earth.
The video, which has captivated social media users, begins with Prasad holding a thick stack of Indian passports, each one worn from years of constant travel and packed with immigration stamps, visas and border crossings from around the world.
“So this is my passport,” he says with a smile, before revealing that the stack actually consists of multiple passports accumulated over years of travel.
Prasad then explains the scale of his achievement. “I am from India and I’ve been to every country in the shortest time. So, it was 245 nations, including Antarctica, both sovereign and dependent in six years, six months, and 22 days,” he says in the video.
What follows is a visual testament to that journey.
As he flips through the pages, viewers are greeted with a kaleidoscope of colourful immigration stamps, visas, entry permits and official markings from countries across continents. Some pages are so densely packed that there is barely any blank space left. Others have visibly yellowed with age, reflecting years of handling, travel and adventure.\

The passports offer a glimpse into what it takes to accomplish a feat that few people even attempt. While many travellers spend decades ticking countries off their bucket lists, Prasad managed to visit every sovereign and dependent nation and territory in just over six and a half years.
The musician is known not only for his travels but also for combining music with his global journeys, performing across countries and cultures while documenting his experiences along the way.
Online, viewers were left stunned by both the sheer number of passports and the scale of the accomplishment. Many described the collection as a living archive of world travel, while others marvelled at the logistics required to navigate hundreds of international borders in such a short span of time.
For most people, a passport is a travel document. For Benny Prasad, it has become a record of a journey that quite literally spanned the globe.
