Indore has been witnessing relentless rainfall over the past several days, with the city receiving more than half of its average July rainfall within the first week of the month. The downpour left several areas waterlogged, including the wedding venue where Purva and Vaibhav, a groom from Delhi, were set to tie the knot.

By the time the ceremony began, nearly 1.5 to 2 feet of water had accumulated around the mandap. Guests were seen carefully wading through the flooded venue to reach the dining area, while shoes and slippers floated in the water.

The highlight of the wedding came when the groom lifted the bride into his arms and carried her through the water to the submerged mandap. Refusing to postpone the ceremony, the couple completed all seven pheras despite standing in ankle-deep water as rain continued to fall around them.
