Pet dog left inside locked car in Lucknow market as heat soars, video sparks outrage
A pet dog was left inside a locked car in Lucknow's Patrakarpuram Market during intense heat. The video drew outrage and renewed warnings about the dangers of leaving animals in shut vehicles.

The owner of a pet dog kept it locked inside a parked car in Lucknow’s Patrakarpuram Market, triggering outrage after the animal was seen barking inside the shut vehicle amid intense heat.
A video of the incident showed the dog trapped inside the car with all windows closed as temperatures continued to soar. A man who noticed the animal recorded the scene and highlighted the danger posed by the rising heat inside the vehicle.
Pointing to the dog inside the car, the man noted that temperatures inside a locked vehicle can rise much faster than outside, making the situation particularly dangerous for animals left unattended.
Eyewitnesses, as per social media reports, said that the dog remained inside the locked car for a considerable period while its owner was away.
The incident sparked anger among onlookers, many of whom described it as negligence toward the animal and questioned why the dog had been left inside the vehicle in such extreme weather.
Animal welfare experts have long warned that the temperature inside a locked car can increase rapidly within minutes, even when parked briefly. With windows shut and little ventilation, trapped animals face serious risks including dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
