The clip opened with tourists enjoying themselves in the waterfall amid heavy rain. Moments later, the scene changed dramatically. Adults and children were seen battling strong, muddy currents, holding onto one another while trying to wade towards higher ground. They were eventually rescued with the help of locals.

"When fun turns into a horrible situation in just two minutes. Vandri Lake," read the text on the video.

One of the tourists who shared the video on Instagram thanked a man named Pravin and local residents for guiding people to safety and helping with the rescue. He also said the people filming the incident assisted those who were stranded and that everyone was eventually brought to safety soon after.

The video, he said, was shared to spread awareness rather than fear, warning that waterfalls and streams can become dangerous within minutes during the monsoon. He urged visitors to stay alert, maintain a safe distance from the water and avoid taking young children into risky areas, adding that no picnic or social media reel is worth risking one's life.
