The CCTV footage, dated July 26, around 5:45 am, showed a man wearing a blue tank top and light-coloured shorts walking through a hallway of what appeared to be a residential building. A cat was seen standing on a narrow ledge near the right side of the corridor as the man approached it.
Moments later, the man leaned towards the cat and pushed it off the ledge. The animal fell out of the camera's view, from the 12th floor. The man briefly looked down before turning around and walking away from the spot.
According to social media reports, the incident took place at Royal Flora Phase 2 in Ambernath, Maharashtra, and the cat did not survive the fall.
Sharing the video, Saghal questioned how someone could be "so heartless" and called for action, stating that animal abuse was a serious offence. He also claimed that the person seen in the footage should be arrested.
