Pakistani-origin techie rents US theatre to screen 3 Idiots for those in a 'rut'

A Pakistani-origin entrepreneur and tech founder has rented out a 250-seat theatre in San Francisco to screen the iconic Bollywood film 3 Idiots.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, 3 Idiots released in 2009 and went on to become one of Bollywood’s most loved films.
Farza Majeed, who is based in San Francisco, announced in a post on X that the special screening would take place later this month, as he invited people looking for “inspo” or “just a laugh” to attend.
“I rented out a 250-seat theatre in San Francisco to screen one of the best movies ever: 3 Idiots,” Majeed said. Describing it as “a beautiful film set in India about three friends trying to figure out what to do with their lives,” he encouraged followers to watch the film if they felt “in a rut” or needed inspiration.
He also shared additional details about the event, saying the screening would be held on May 24, at the Marina Theatre. “1 ticket per person. It will have subtitles. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it,” he added. A link to the tickets showed that each one was priced at $10.
