Soon after, officials contacted the Forest Department for assistance. Anoop, an authorised snake rescuer associated with the department, arrived at the college to safely handle the situation.

Viral videos from the scene show the rescuer carefully inspecting the shelves before locating the reptile hidden among the books. He then successfully removed the snake without causing harm to either the animal or those present in the library.
