Swiggy delivery woman in Mumbai juggles work and studies, dreams of joining UP Police
During the conversation, the Swiggy delivery woman said she comes from Ghazipur and has four sisters and a brother. She told Swiggy Food Marketplace CEO Rohit Kapoor that becoming a police officer has long been her dream.

A Swiggy delivery woman from Uttar Pradesh, who balances food deliveries in Mumbai with college studies and preparation for the UP Police examination, shared her story in a video posted by Swiggy Food Marketplace CEO Rohit Kapoor.
Khushboo was featured in the third episode of Kapoor's "Chai Biskoot" series, which documents the struggles and aspirations of delivery partners across the country. Both Khushboo and Rohit spoke over chai and vada pav at a stall in Mumbai.
During the conversation, Khushboo said she comes from Ghazipur and has four sisters and a brother. She told Kapoor that becoming a police officer has long been her dream.
When asked how she came to work for Swiggy, Khushboo said family circumstances and the need to fund her education prompted her to look for work. She explained that she is currently preparing for the UP Police examination while also pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Kapoor noted that she was simultaneously managing her studies, exam preparation and delivery work. In response, Khushboo said completing her graduation would make her eligible to apply for more competitive examinations in the future.
She also shared a message about perseverance, saying that courage is essential for moving ahead in life and that people should follow their hearts rather than worry about what others might say.
Khushboo recalled that she learned about the opportunity through someone already working with Swiggy, who guided her through the process and helped her create an account on the platform.
Asked where she would like to be posted if she achieves her goal of becoming a police officer, Khushboo said she would prefer a posting in her village so she could serve the people there.
"Indian villages have spent decades watching people leave. Khushboo left too. Came to Mumbai from Ghazipur at 23. Delivers food. Studies for the UP Police exam at night," Kapoor said in the caption of his post.

He added that while many people move to Mumbai hoping to build a life away from home, Khushboo's ambition was different. "Most people come to Mumbai hoping they never have to go back. Khushboo came so that she could. In a police uniform. For the people in her village."
"The courage to leave is common. The clarity to know why, that's the rare thing," Kapoor added.
At the end of the interaction, Rohit Kapoor presented Khushboo with a support letter, a book to assist with her exam preparation and a laptop to help her study.
"I truly hope all your dreams come true," he told her.
We hope so too.
