Liz, an American woman who lives in India with her husband Shiv, posted the video on their shared Instagram account, spicygori, documenting her first impressions of the city's metro network.
The clip showed Liz making her way through the station as she excitedly narrated her experience. After purchasing a ticket for just Rs 20, she marvelled at how clean the station was and pointed out the platform screen doors, saying they made the system feel much safer.
As she boarded the train, Liz said she was immediately struck by how clean it was, adding that her first impression was that the Mumbai Metro was "so much cleaner than the metro in New York."
She also appeared delighted by the strong air conditioning inside the train, noting that it was a welcome relief from Mumbai's heat.
The American content creator went on to highlight the women-only compartment, saying she had not come across such a feature in other countries she had visited. Calling the overall experience "excellent", she concluded the video by saying, "America needs to learn from India."
